Guarantee of Craftsmanship
1. Overview
KaddyKat™ Systems (“we,” “us,” or “our”) stands behind the quality, safety, and durability of the KaddyKat™ and related products.
- This Guarantee of Craftsmanship describes what is covered, what is not covered, and how to obtain service.
- By purchasing or using our product, you agree to be bound by the terms of this policy.
- Duration: This Guarantee of Craftsmanship is valid for one (1) year from the original date of purchase by the end user.
- Proof of purchase: A dated sales receipt, order confirmation, or registration record may be required to verify coverage.
3. Guarantee of Craftsmanship (Workmanship Coverage)
We take pride in the quality of our workmanship. All KaddyKat™ Systems products are built to meet professional standards of craftsmanship.
During the guarantee period, we guarantee that:
- The product will be free from defects in workmanship under normal, intended use.
- All work performed by our team in manufacturing and assembly has been carried out with appropriate skill, care, and attention to detail.
If a defect in craftsmanship is discovered within the guarantee period, we will, at our discretion:
- Repair the defective product or component; or
- Replace the product or component with a new or refurbished item of equal or better functionality.
Repairs or replacements under this guarantee are provided at no additional cost for covered issues, excluding shipping where applicable (see Section 7).
4. Materials and Product Warranty
In addition to workmanship, we warrant that:
- Structural components, welds, and major mechanical assemblies will be free from material defects under normal, intended use.
- Moving parts such as lift mechanisms, clamps, and casters will function as designed when operated according to the product’s instructions.
5. Exclusions (What Is Not Covered)
This Guarantee of Craftsmanship does not cover:
- Normal wear and tear, including cosmetic changes that do not affect performance (e.g., scratches, scuffs, paint wear).
- Misuse, abuse, or neglect, including but not limited to:
- Exceeding suggested load capacities.
- Using the product contrary to the instructions or safety guidelines.
- Dropping, collisions, or impact damage.
- Damage caused by external factors, such as:
- Accidents, fire, flood, or other environmental conditions.
- Corrosion or deterioration caused by improper storage or exposure to chemicals.
- Unauthorized alterations or repairs, including:
- Modifications of any kind, including welding or drilling, are not approved by KaddyKat™ Systems.
- Repairs performed by non-authorized service providers that affect safety or performance.
- Customer-supplied components or materials, including:
- Add-on parts, accessories, or alterations specified, supplied, or installed by the customer that were not recommended or provided by KaddyKat™ Systems.
- Commercial misuse outside intended applications, such as:
- Use unrelated to paintless dent repair, auto body work, or similar shop applications, where the product’s design intent is exceeded or ignored.
- Incidental costs, such as:
- Downtime, loss of income, rental equipment, or other indirect costs.
If a product shows evidence of any of the above, coverage may be denied or limited at our discretion.
6. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
- Our sole obligation under this Guarantee of Craftsmanship is to repair or replace the defective product or component as described above.
- We are not liable for:
- Any consequential, incidental, special, indirect, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of use, loss of profits, loss of business, or personal injury arising from use or inability to use the product.
- Any damages arising from failure to follow product instructions, safety warnings, or recommended maintenance.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation may not apply in all areas.
7. How to Obtain Guarantee Service
If you believe you have a covered craftsmanship issue:
- Contact Us
- Provide the following information:
- Your name and contact details.
- Proof of purchase (receipt, confirmation email, or registration).
- Product model and serial number (if applicable).
- Description of the issue, including when it occurs and how the product is being used.
- Clear photos or video showing the defect, if possible.
- Evaluation and next steps
- We may provide troubleshooting steps to confirm the issue.
- If a repair or replacement is approved, we will provide instructions for shipping or arranging service.
- Depending on your location and the nature of the defect, you may be responsible for shipping the product to us; we will cover return shipping for validated repairs/replacements.
8. Transferability
This Guarantee of Craftsmanship applies to the original purchaser and may, at our discretion, transfer with the product if proper proof of original purchase and transfer is provided.
9. Governing Law
This Guarantee of Craftsmanship is governed by the laws of the state in which KaddyKat™ Systems is headquartered, without regard to conflict of laws principles, unless otherwise required by local consumer protection laws.
